Penelope and her tapestry

In the Greek Odyssey the clever Penelope devised a cunning plan whereby she told  her suitors that she would weave a tapestry, and once she was finished she would marry one of them. Penelope weaved during the day, but secretly undid all her work at night. This went on for many years, she did get caught out though. Some fair maidens jealous of all the attention Penelope got from male suitors, let the cat out of the bag. I still think it was a brilliant idea. And I was thrilled when my mum gave me this for-no-particular-reason gift set. The box is so pretty am thinking of using it as a clutch :-)
